I have heard that your treatment works well on acute sports injuries like sprains, pulls, and strains. What other conditions does this treatment correct?

In the absence of pathology (i.e. overt tears, fractures, infection, vascular conditions, autoimmune conditions, etc.) almost all musculoskeletal conditions will respond well to AIRROSTI treatments. These may include Back Pain, Tendonitis, Carpal Tunnel, Plantar Fasciitis, Shin Splints, Tension Headaches, Sciatic Pain, Osteoarthritis and much more.

Chronic complaints may not respond as quickly because over time the body develops compensations to deal with the effects of an injury but they still respond much more quickly and with better results than conventional treatments. Fascia distortions cause by these compensations must be addressed along with any distortions that still remain from the original injury.

How is this different from MAT (Muscle Activation Technique), Deep Massage Therapy, ART (Active Release Technique), or other Therapies?

AIRROSTI is an integrated treatment model that is 100% outcome-based. Our time commitment to each patient allows for accurate assessment, diagnosis and highly-specific manual therapy. Other techniques, albeit effective in some cases, lack a disciplined practice approach and are simply modalities. Airrosti Certified Providers achieve and maintain accreditation through a strict recruitment, training and quality measurement program.

How can someone with a severe ankle sprain or hamstring pull recover so quickly with this treatment?

Injuries to muscle and bone heal at a predictable rate. This has been demonstrated over and again in medical journals. In fact, muscle, due to its large blood supply, has a fairly short healing time of around 3 - 4 days. When fascial injuries are manually corrected, the muscle is allowed to fully heal at its optimal unobstructed rate.

The injuries you asked about are, in most cases, primarily injuries to the fascial tissue. This explains why an injury that has been cleared as uncomplicated (by x-ray, MRI, CT scan, and orthopedic examination) will still require anywhere from 2 - 6 weeks of traditional RICE (Rest, Ice, Compression, and Elevation) to "heal" and as many of you are well aware this "healing" almost never returns the area of injury to the level of performance it enjoyed prior to the injury.

How can this treatment improve the athletic performance of an individual who may not have an injury?

Even an individual who has no injuries most likely has either: An old injury that was never fully addressed; or a posture or muscle tone imbalance that will limit their peak athletic performance. These issues often predispose them to certain types of injury in the future. AIRROSTI doctors specialize in functional performance assessment and subsequent treatment with immediate and measurable results.

Why are the majority of your providers DCs ?

Due to the types of injuries our doctors encounter on daily basis, we feel that it is important for them to be able to diagnose injuries that are orthopedically or pathologically complicated. Doctors of Chiropractic receive extensive training in diagnosis which allows them to perform these functions. Also, because our specialists are doctors, they are able to treat patients without needing to expend the extra time and often money necessary to obtain a referral from a primary care physician.

I heard this treatment is very painful, is that true?

No, not necessarily. In fact we are in the job of getting patients out of pain. Also, many patients tell us that the treatment does not hurt at all.

The discomfort of the treatment primarily depends on the type and area of injury. It also has a lot to do with whether it is an acute or chronic problem.

What I can definitely tell you is that any discomfort you may experience in treatment is far less than the pain of living with the problem.

I know you do not accept all insurance plans. If you are not on my plan will my insurance reimburse for this treatment and how economical is it?

Many insurance plans will provide reimbursement for our services. AIRROSTI will help you maximize your benefits by verifying with your carrier prior to treatment.

Even if you are subject to a high deductible plan, the AIRROSTI treatment is very economical when compared to the alternatives. AIRROSTI is highly effective, achieving results in a fraction of the time required by other treatment options. This allows you to achieve terrific, lasting results with fewer visits over a shorter total length of time. That means less time missed from work or your activity, less drive time, less time spent in a waiting room, and less time spent not being able to do the things you want to do.
